This setup was a bit of a pain, but finally worked...
The Nokia E60 supports WiFi and has a SIP client. This is my setup for freespeech.ie. I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything, but this has worked for me. Go into "Settings", then "Connection" and then "SIP Settings" * SIP Settings Profile Name: Free Speech Service Profile: IETF Default Access Point: (the name of your WiFi Connection) Public User Name: sip:076xxxxxxx@freespeech.ie Use Compressio: No Registration: Always Use Security: No Proxy Server (within SIP Settings) Proxy server address: sip:freespeech.ie Realm: freespeech.ie User name: 076xxxxxxx Password: (your password) Allow loose routing: Yes Transport Type: TCP (I could not get UDP to work) Port: 5060 Registrar server (within SIP Settings) Registrar server address: sip:freespeech.ie Realm: freespeech.ie User name: 076xxxxxxx Password: (your password) Allow loose routing: Yes Transport Type: TCP (I could not get UDP to work) Port: 5060 In the "Internet Telephone" settings... I created a new one called "Free Speech" which points to the "Free Speech" SIP profile. Going into "SIP Settings", the profile should show "Not registered". At the top of the display, just to the right of the battery symbol, you should see a Square symbol up of 4 tiny squares. These will be solid when the WiFi is connected correctly. They will be boxes if the WiFi is enabled, but not connected. When registered with freespeech.ie, you'll see a small handset/globe symbol above the WiFi symbol. For my WiFi settings... Connection name: Home Data bearer: Wireless LAN Network Name: (the SSID of your WiFi LAN) Network status: Public WLAN Netw mode: Infrastructure WLAN Security Mode: Open Network You will also need to change the "Default Call Type" to "Internet". This is in the "call settings" menu. Best of luck... Aidan

The Nokia E series currently have compatibility issues with our network so do not rely on above post. We are working to resolve this.
Hi,
Did you fix the compatibility issues with your network? When do you expect to have it fixed? I did not manage to make my NOkia E70 to work at all with freespeech. It works perfect with other VoIP providers.. Maybe will have ot use them :-( Regards, Stoyan
We intend to upgrade our core network before March which should fix this. We don't have a fixed date as there is alot of prep. work.
Was there any joy with this upgrade? I've been trying to setup a new E65 to work all day. It just won't register. It may be a STUN issue (which the phone supports, but is not user configurable it would seem), or be symptomatic of the issue Freespeech mentioned earlier in this thread. So any update would be great!
We have not updated core Network yet, we are working on it. Proably mid April by the time we are complete.
Did you make any progresses so far as I'm also using the Nokia E-series and can't my phone running with the config shown above?
How time flies, no we have upgraded some components but as of yet the E series are not yet running, we expect to have competed complete changes by end July
For what it's worth, I have this somewhat working with my E65 now. I can connect and make calls, I just can't receive them (they go to voice-mail). I guess the upgrade will sort out the remaining issues ![]()
An alternative solution is to use [www.fring.com] which provides an application for your phone which you can use with skype, googletalk, MSN, SIP and freespeech.
This setup works perfectly on my Nokia e51 from my home wifi access point. How do I use it when away from home on a public access point (Airport etc)
