You can follow the forums of interest to you by subscribing to RSS feeds. Go to the forum list and you will see the link "RSS", just cut and paste this to your news reader.

It realy is a cool feature..try it.

Reading RSS
You can read news feeds directly from Thunderbird/Mozilla - [kb.mozillazine.org]

MS Outlook/Explorer require a plugin such as [www.blogbot.com]

Or you can run an independant news reader like [www.feedreader.com]
