I could not find an answer for these questions I have:
- When/Do you plan to support video SIP? - When/Do you plan to support free phone numbers? - When you attach a number (01 based) to FreeSpeech, could you cancel that landline number afterwards (ie. only use FreeSpeech for calls, and have old number redirect to 076 number) - Can you use Emergency Services, eg. 999 with freespeech? - Do you plan to introduce paypal as a payment option? - Can I have multiple 076 numbers on one paid account? Thanks! ____________________ Duey Finster [www.dueyfinster.eu] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/06/2006 10:13PM by dueyfinster.
- When/Do you plan to support video SIP?
Video SIP to SIP should work without problem as long as both phones are correctly configured. - When/Do you plan to support free phone numbers? Does this mean dialing 1800, this is already supported. - When you attach a number (01 based) to FreeSpeech, could you cancel that landline number afterwards (ie. only use FreeSpeech for calls, and have old number redirect to 076 number). We do not support porting to/from freespeech. You can get a new 01 number from freespeech, there is no additional cost for this, you must be subscribed to FULL-ACCESS. If you want to forward you existing landline number to freespeech you will need to talk to your provider. - Can you use Emergency Services, eg. 999 with freespeech Yes - but you must be aware reduction of the reliability using VOIP services in comparison to traditional landline. We always recommend you have an alternate line available, such as mobile. please read conditions - [www.freespeech.ie] - Do you plan to introduce paypal as a payment option? No. - Can I have multiple 076 numbers on one paid account? Currently - no, but probably in the future (we have the capability to do this). Edited 2 time(s). What audio codecs are supported?
What order of preference are they used in? I want to reduce my bandwidth usage but also use codecs not requiring a license (i.e. g.729). What do you suggest I use? Thanks mh
The preferred codec you select on your phone should be the one used, however negotiation can occur. This is currently how we have preferences set.
G729 PCMU PCMA GSM G726-32 iLBC If you looking for a low badwidth codec we would suggest G729 even though you have to pay for it, it's the best balance between Bandwidth/CPU/Quality in our opinion. Otherwise try iLBX/GSM and use whichever you are happy with Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
