Hi All,

I'm having a couple of problems with my VoIP set up and I would be greatful if anyone could help out. I have NTL broadband connected to a Linksys WRTP54G router. I have a Siemens eircom 4012 phone connected to this. The problems are as follows:

(a) every two days (give or take) it doesn't ring (as in no incoming calls they go straight to voicemail ) and if you call someone they can hear you but you can't hear them. This can be fixed by unplugging and replugging the router.
(b) There is an echo on my end of the phone when having conversations. It's only on my end that you can hear it the person calling me doesn't hear it
(c) How do you get your number to appear when you are calling someone?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Try updating the router firmware.

Is it for all calls, mobile, landline, incoming, outgoing ?
Have you tried a different phone ?

Currently you can't. We are working on a resolution for this.

Thanks for the quick response.

(b) it's not on all calls. It can be on this call and not the next it's not predictable. I haven't tried another handset though. I'll try and get my hands on one and see if that works

Tried it tonight. The out going call to Sligo (071) had a very long delay on the echo for the full call. The incoming ones had a short delay echo for about 30 seconds. Rang my mobile then, there was no echo on incoming or out going. Tried ringing a dublin number then. Again no echo on the out going call.

Thanks for all your help so far.
